On This Day

This Medieval tune, also known as “Personent Hodie,” has three verses, with RH and LH each playing the melody. There is much use of fifths with some passages of thirds. Various five finger positions are used throughout. The piece is effective at either a slower (audio sample) or faster tempo. And as an option, the LH has opportunities to play its chord in the treble clef, by crossing over the RH.  Also available as part of a collection, “Three in D for Christmas.”
